Wow! What a Wimbledon this year.
Our own Anna Anisimova defeated world #1 Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-final, but fell to Iga Swiatek in the final.
On the men’s side our own Ben Shelton made it to the quarter finals, and Tayler Fritz lost in the semis.
The men’s final seems to cement that we have a rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz – the new big 2. And what a match they had. This is a match to be watched again and again.
We’re limiting our ATP and WTA news to focus on the top Americans in the rankings. There are currently 3 Americans in the WTA Top 5. You can find the current rankings here.
